False sense of security. I grew up in Michigan. I know you cannot banish salt from all crevices. Enjoy your high. Sell car after it is 6 years old.

I was driving WB on I-40 and passed this used car hauler and noted how rusty the underside of all the cars were. A couple of cars had Wisconsin plates. They were probably going to Phoenix or LA to be auctioned. Poor people who bought them.

My girlfriend's cat came in meowing as I was reading the title and of course my mind went to: "That feeling after you was road salt off your cat's crevices."

SR20 of cat :)

16 and 1/2 year old car with 66k miles. no visible rust when you stand and look at it, but a thin line of rust thats hard to see is there by the rear bumper panel gap. going to be selling it in a year or so. my dad ordered the 'rust proofing' option at the dealer when it was new where they coat the underside and the lower parts of the doors with a black coat of some sort, so it helped some.
